Tutorials forum section

I know that we have a section for engine questions. How about a section that encourages everyone to add tutorials (as forum posts?) .

Idk, its an idea.

You can use it to let everyone know when a new tutorial is added to your wiki. Or use it as a resource to feed into the wiki- if somebody makes a good tutorial- you can feature the best ones in the wiki.

Put a sticky thread in it called “request a tutorial” - in it people request the stuff they would like explained in general howto.

How do I make this, how do I make that? A tutorial gives the user an example file, and a walkthrough with screenshots or a youtube video.

!

Has this been made?

I am really stuck and can’t get any futher with Gdevelop without some tutorials or videos!

There are a lot of tutorials here : http://wiki.compilgames.net/doku.php/en/game_develop/tutorials

Like: “request tutorial - how to make extensions for Gdevelop”.
I think the idea is to ask for tutorials…

4ian.github.io/GD-Documentation/ … mentation/

I know…
but it was only an example…

Ok, I thought you were asking for that tutorial

Sorry…
I put a note in the wiki with this tutorial (http://wiki.compilgames.net/doku.php/gdevelop/documentation/manual/extensions).

I don’t know if it really has its place in the page because the extension development tutorial/documentation is for developers, not users of GDevelop.

I think it’s okay to put tutorials and examples to section “help for games creation”.
But it would be clearer if in this forum have section “Tutorials” where people can put their own examples as a topics.

I know I’m late to the thread, but I was coming to this section to suggest the same thing: a tutorial section for people to post or request tutorials. Maybe have a sticky on how to make a good tutorial and voting to decide if a tutorial is wiki-worthy. Tutorials and requests could even be split up in sub-forums so they don’t all get jumbled together.
